Samsung UN55B7100
$3,699.00
Released April, 2009
The Pros:Initial setup/picture calibration process is fairly easy to complete - experienced users report attaining optimal picture quality within less than 2 hours. Low energy consumption provides multiple benefits - unit is very eco-friendly and rarely (if ever) becomes noticeably overheated. 120Hz Motion-smoothing technology maximizes live sports and action movie content - advanced "Jitter" and "Blur" controls enable full customization.
The Cons:Built-in 10-watt stereo speakers are disappointingly poor - stock audio outputting is harsh, tinny and severely lacks low-end frequency range. General on-screen menu navigation is cumbersome and needlessly over-complicated - switching input sources requires a number of separate software prompts that are sure to cause frustration over time. Manufacturer-sanction input limitations are strange and ultimately disappointing - users are forced to use specific jacks for gaming consoles, disc players and the like.
The LED 7 Series is Samsung's line of high-end LCD HDTVs introduced in 2009 that use an LED edge-lighting solution and feature a native resolution of 1080p and Auto Motion Plus 120Hz technology.
