LG 55LD520
$1,469.99
Released January, 2010
The Pros:Frame interpolation at 120Hz looks much more natural than on other models. Minimal lag when playing video games. DVD upscaling is well handled, looks HD without being overly interpolated.
The Cons:Need to decrease the refresh rate from PC signals to eliminate screen jitter. Detail and crispness are such that some viewers can start to feel nauseous, especially in handheld camera scenes. SD television signals look very poor, even before compared with HD the flaws stand out.
The 55LD520 is a 455" LCD HDTV from LG's LD520 Series. The TV is the largest in the series and features a widescreen LED-backlit display with a Full HD native resolution of 1080p. It offers a TruMotion 120Hz refresh rate for reduced motion blur and smooth high-speed images.
