The LG 47LE5300 is a 47" 1080p LED television, one of the less expensive models of that size in the manufacturer's lineup. The unit's LED technology enables an ultra-slim design, a 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and reduced energy consumption.

The unit comes with Freeview, an interface for browsing free over-the-air content accessible thanks to the built-in digital tuner. The 47LE5300 also features 100Hz TruMotion, attaining a 0.001ms response time to essentially eliminate blur. Intelligent Sensor technology allows the television to automatically adjust picture settings to best suit its environment. The 47LE5900 adds support for NetCast, a suite of online services including picture sharing and weather updates.
